About Agnieszka
Director. Writer.
Agnieszka was born 1984. She studied at the prestigious theater high school Sodra Latin in Stockholm and continued her education at the Polish Nation Film School in Lodz at the Directing department.
Agnieszka started her career as a documentary filmmaker directing multiple projects for SVT, NRK, YLE, and Canal+. These projects included multi-award winning, theatrical releases: ALGERIA, The Nameless War (aka DRINK LOVE AND SMOKE) and BORTGLOMDA (aka FORGOTTEN).
Her feature film debut was the critically acclaimed, BETWEEN TWO FIRES. The film was cinema released and awarded at multiple festivals, among which GULDBAGGEN nominated. As a result Agnieszka got the honour of being chosen as the EUROPEAN SHOOTING STAR that year, alongside Tom Hiddleston an Alicia Vikander.
Agnieszka then chose to focus on writing and has penned scripts for both European and American companies. Among which the Swedish Film Institute, the Polish film institute,Fasad [SWE] and Hob Ab [SWE], Anonymous Content [US], Hollywood Gang [US], Gianni Nunnri [US], Mark Sourian, Dreamworks [US], Kris Thykier, Archery pictures [UK], Wyle/Katz [US]. Her script BARRY was chosen by the prestigious EuropeanUnion’s Association des Cinematheques Europeans as one of the best 18 projects in 2019 / 2020.
In 2019, Agnieszka revisited her passion for documentaries and directed the theatrically released documentary COULD IT BE YOU?
2022, she completed her socially, relevant thriller, ANIMAL WIHTIN, featuring Anthony Boyle and Gaia Weiss, shot by Anthony Dod Mantle and edited by Yorgos Mavropsaridis.
To be released 2023.
Her latest American project, is produced by Anonymous Content, Robert Walak.
Her latest European project, FAGGOT, produced by Paprika Studios.
Her latest European American coproduction is In The Deep set to shoot in 2025.
